Hunter Marine has always been famous for their interiors and the Glenn Henderson designed HUNTER 38 is no exception.

A large salon with plenty of seating and a generous salon table that thanks to an insert can be a larger or smaller table depending on your needs. The salon table also converts into a double bed giving the HUNTER 38 three queen size berths.

The interior of the boat is very roomy and features lots of light. Great headroom and a boat big enough that it is easy to move around in. No having to turn side ways.

Hunter's overhead hatches and fixed ports let in loads of natural light and ventilation.

In 2006 Hunter was still using real teak veneer and teak hardwood for fiddles and handles. And it Shows! The boat is a beautiful honey teak interior that is warm and inviting and speaks to a true nautical heritage. Luxurious faux leather interior in tasteful sand colour accents the teak nicely.

The head features an electric flush toilet and separate shower with glass partition. Again, large, well laid out, airy and well lit.

The galley is one of the spots on a Hunter that always shines and the HUNTER 38 is no exception. Large Corian counter tops with double sink and stainless steel faucet.  A large stainless steel fridge and separate stainless steel freezer, plus a micowave. Generous storage and a stainless steel 2 burner stove and gimballed oven make for a great galley to serve a quick snack or a sea going gourmet meal.

Both cabins on the 38 offer good headroom, light, and ventilation as well as storage.

Manufacturer Provided Description

In 2005 the Hunter 38 replaced the popular 386, the last of which rolled out of the Florida plant May 27, 2004 following a highly successful seven year run. In designing the 38, Hunter's famed designer and racer Glenn Henderson returned to the drawing board with one focus in mind. "Our goal was to design a boat that was an exceptionally comfortable cruiser, yet offered outstanding performance and easy handling," said Henderson. "Our new 38 has met -- and exceeds -- expectations." The 38 is Hunter's largest mid-size cruiser in its fleet. While Hunter is quick to acknowledge that the market is competitive in this class, the company believes it is a powerful niche and is confident its new boat will make waves due to its many innovations.
